Affiliation
The West Bengal Skill & Education Development Board (WBSEDB) grants affiliation to schools, institutions, and training centers that meet the academic, infrastructural, and administrative standards prescribed by the Board. Affiliation enables institutions to offer WBSEDB-approved academic and skill development programs.
The Board aims to create a network of quality institutions committed to delivering structured education and skill-based learning in a transparent and learner-focused environment.

Eligibility Criteria
Institutions seeking affiliation must meet the following basic requirements:
- Legally registered trust, society, institution, or organization
- Adequate infrastructure including classrooms, furniture, and learning facilities
- Qualified teaching and training staff
- Safe and secure learning environment for students
- Commitment to follow WBSEDB curriculum, examination, and academic guidelines
Additional requirements may apply depending on the type of affiliation requested.

Affiliation Process
- Application Submission – Institution submits an affiliation application form with required documents
- Document Verification – Board reviews legal and academic documents
- Inspection (If Required) – Physical or virtual inspection of facilities
- Approval Decision – Affiliation granted based on compliance
- Issuance of Affiliation Certificate – Institution receives official approval and affiliation number

- Address proof and ownership/lease documents
- Any additional documents specified by the Board
Validity of Affiliation
Affiliation is granted for a specified period and must be renewed before expiry. Institutions must maintain standards and comply with Board regulations to continue affiliation.
Important Guidelines
- Affiliated institutions must follow WBSEDB academic calendar and examination system
- Misuse of Board name or logo without approval may lead to cancellation
- The Board reserves the right to inspect affiliated institutions
- Affiliation may be suspended or withdrawn in case of serious violations
